2008 "DCI is happy to present...the Cadets"

2009 "DCI is tempted to present...the Boston Crusaders"

2009 "DCI is depressed to present...the Blue Devils"

2010 "DCI is mad to present..the Cavaliers"

2011 "DCI is revolted to present...the Boston Crusaders"

2011 "DCI will be ###### if it can't present... Santa Clara Vanguard"

2013 "DCI is beside itself to present...the Cadets"

2014 "DCI is inclined to present...the Bluecoats"

LOLOLOL...I have officially and admittedly soiled myself. I hate it when that happens.

I did not notice the initial announcement and even if I had been at finals, I probably would not have noticed it. There could be more to it. George H. was a bit more critical this year during the season and after the season was over posted on his Facebook page that the only thing he saw DCI as good for was providing competitive opportunities. Perhaps George H and crew did not want DCI mentioned, but my guess is he has bigger fish to fry. Same holds true for DCI.

Personally, I do not think DCI wants to distance itself from The Cadets as a corps. And most fans are probably not aware of DCI politics or George H's rants. They simply love a good show and The Cadets more often than not deliver, including last year. I saw them live in four different states and two different regions with audience demographics that differed considerably. They were very well received even though I read on DCP they were not, including a show where they received a standing ovation as they entered the stadium, during their show, and at the end. A DCP post stated people sat on their hands for The Cadets during that show.Today, thanks to social media we know who said what, when, etc., along with all the editorial comments which wasn't the case even as little as five years ago. That can fuel the fire, and in some cases support an argument with facts, but in the end I do not think it was a slight on DCI's part or George H's part, and if it did happen, we would have heard.
