xandandl
Only problem is there's one way in and one way out. I've been told it's a fantastic parade, but traffic/parking is a pain. Drum corps doing the Bristol parade are given a special escort through the backway of Warren to get to next parade. You're right though, the crowds do make it a challenge, let along the late coming traffic to the Cape. Weather may be a factor this year. 50 per cent chance of showers for Bristol, Wakefield and the Beanpot.

elissa_hock
So glad for all the confirmations. Really--you didn't trust me? I follow Rhythm in Blue-(their alumni group) and I saw it on their Facebook page. Give me a little credit--I promise I won't spread gossip!

It was just a hard thing to swallow and was just asking for confirmation since anyone can post anything, no offense :):). That's a huge undertaking! But...I think its cool they're doing it! rainshdw08
That's almost as extensive a schedule as those corps doing Bristol, Wakefield, and the evening show at Lynn! Honeslty, I think they are the most of anyone...that I can see on the internet. Pio is doing 4 parades though. and the BlueCoats are doing one hell of a travel 36 hours. I think its all great though. I love that DCI is seemingly doing more and more parades as of the last few years. Good on them because there is nothing like being at a parade when a Drum Corps marches by and blast's...watching the crowd reaction is awesome to me :) Most are all WOW! This isn't a HS marching band. It's just cool.

CallipygianKing
Here's what I know of MN all-age corps: St. Peter, MN (10am): Govenaires Delano, MN (10:30am): Chops, Inc. (Chopstix Percussion & Top Chops Brassline, marching separately) Cannon Falls, MN (10:30am): Minnesota Brass Apple Valley, MN (1pm): Chops, Inc. (Chopstix Percussion & Top Chops Brassline, marching separately) and Minnesota Brass Chanhassen, MN (2:30pm): Chops, Inc. (Chopstix Percussion & Top Chops Brassline, marching separately) and Govenaires Also, River City Rhythm lists a number of parades on their calendar. I know that they do have a separate drumline unit that does summer parades to raise funds for their winter program. I'm not sure which unit (corps or drumline) is at which parade: Edina, MN (10am) Lake Bluff, IL (10am) Deerfield, IL (Noon) Richfield, MN (1pm) Somers, WI (2pm) Chanhassen, MN (2:30pm) Hales Corners, WI (4pm) Starbuck, MN (6pm)
