BRASSO
And here I thought the "Pines of Rome" had to do with the lamentations over the mental decline of a certain radio sports personality. Silly me... I could have sworn that as a follow up to " 12.25" and then " 10" for their theme last summer, that The Cadets had announced that they were playing a new song, " The Nines of Rome " for this summer. But clearly, I read it wrong.

BRASSO
It figures. (pun intended.) I also heard a rumor that The Cadets selected theme that they recently announced is not caste in stone. HornTeacher
I could have sworn that as a follow up to " 12.25" and then " 10" for their theme last summer, that The Cadets had announced that they were playing a new song, " The Nines of Rome " for this summer. But clearly, I read it wrong. Could be. If there is the potential for another uniform change, then they can claim that they are "dressed to the nines." Either that...or they could change their name to "The Catettes," and call their show Nine Lives. Eleran
But isn't the webinar public already? Beats me - my kid's going to their next camp, so when he gets an email about something, we never know what audience it's meant for.
xandandl
Beats me - my kid's going to their next camp, so when he gets an email about something, we never know what audience it's meant for. Some corps have initiations (formal and informal). While the Cadets don't have anything like the Cavaliers old rookie run, another corps dying all drum majors hair blonde or weird challenges other corps put to noobies, pursuing the path of wisdom by figuring out GH's communication is a lifeskill worthy of any Jedi warrior wannabee: what was said, what you think you heard, what you think it meant, what you are supposed to do with what you think you understood from what you think you heard from what you think was said. By the time a parent or sponsor gets the information relayed and "gets" what that info means can often be the language of another galaxy. Add attempts at humor, sarcasm, and generation gaps, it is definitely a challenge worthy of any initiation. Simple solution if confused, just ask.
