forgot a most important detail! be sure to call minimum 5/10ths spread between units so that your rankings matter the most!

Actually, 3/10 makes much more sense to there could never be a possibility of a tie in the caption scores, but still be big enough that the ranking matters most.

After 43 voters...

The 2 Judges: 1 Battery Judge on the FIELD & 1 Front Ensemble Judge on the FIELD option has 22 votes (51.16%).

The current system is 2nd with 16 votes (37.21%)

Two judges, both in the box. Bottom line, the show is designed/geared toward its effectiveness from the box. If that's what it's designed for, that's how it should be evaluated.

Not in percussion. The level of technical playing in the drum line is not even a consideration in the other captions, with the possible exception of the pit.

To focus on the visual, GE experience from the box ignores what drives the drumline. The perspective of the student/MM/KIDS cannot be sacrificed for the perceived benefit of a box score.

DCI will lose talent in the drumline. Period.

which translates to:

we're different.

we're special.

we're more important.

treat us differently.

which is not such a great argument to make.
