kevingamin
You can't do a show like Tribal with an aggressive drum line feature. Tenors are really killing it tonight.
kevingamin
Nice change by the guard member in the silver skirt. While twirling center field, the silver flies away to reveal a pastel skirt underneath.
kevingamin
Solo saber toss in front of the entire corps. Nailed it! Guard on giant fire flags behind the corps as the horn line does a company front diagonally across the field. Tempo kicks up and we build to the big finish, complete with another rock solid unison note from the mellos.
kevingamin
Next on the field is Legends from Kalamazoo, Michigan. Their 2017 program, courtesy of Corpsreps.com: The Signal Define Dancing from Wall-E by Newman; Thomas, Gabriel, Peter Mothership by Bates, Mason Satellite by Pluth, James The Sound of Silence by Simon, Paul Hyperjump from Wall-E by Newman; Thomas Stargate Overture by Arnold, David
kevingamin
Legends guard uniforms are the best blue.
kevingamin
There's a little home field advantage for Legends, I believe, as at least one member is from Avon Lake.
kevingamin
Pit opening as the corps is announced. Lush sounds from the brass as they play to the left end zone. Guard on flags spreading out on the field after starting around the broadcast tower prop. Huge sound from the corps! Great opening! The tower is lit. Literally. Now moving backfield.
kevingamin
Four trumpets play a repeating rhythm, a signal, into mics on the front side. The sound is modulated to sound like signals you'd hear coming over a radio.
kevingamin
Basses laying down a great solo as the tower is moved to the 50.
kevingamin
Again, that full horn line sound! Nice sound effect playing side to side before finishing the opener with a HUGE sound! Legends is on tonight!
