kevingamin
Flugel soloist on the stage plays the opening melody of Who Wants To Live Forever. Horns accompany facing backfield.
kevingamin
Corps gets introduced via recording. The guy yells the corps name at the end, but the effect is lost because the volume isn't turned up enough. The horns turning forward and hitting the crowd with their sound made us all forget. Tubas laying down the Beat It bass line from backfield! Yeah! Mellophones now playing the Beat It melody from the stage. Sopranos take over from the right side of the field
kevingamin
2017 and this is the first time Beat It is performed on the drum corps field. Trombone and trumpet soloist playing from stages on the front side of the field. I don't think the mics are working according to plan, though, because they weren't as loud as I expected. kevingamin
They actually got permission to play Let It Be? I'm amazed. Flugel soloist on the melody with four French horns accompanying. Nice soundscape.
kevingamin
Trombone soloist now on the melody up front. Once again, though, I don't hear the solo micced, even though the soloist is playing directly into one.

kevingamin
Basses in front of the stage, cymbals on it. Now snares and tenors. Horns back in. Not sure why they're relying on a bass line from the pit so much. You've got a great tuba section. Knights of Cydonia from Muse.
kevingamin
Drums call out "East Coast!" before coming in for their feature. Baritone and soprano soloists reprise Knights before the horns come in on Bohemian Rhapsody. Guard on blue flags with Hollywood Walk of Fame stars on them.
