kkrepps
I'm going to the East Coast Classic in MA on July 1st. Spartans and 7th Regiment are there for the Open Class. Is that the first show with some Open Class? Anybody else doing anything before them (besides parades or exhibitions)?

Followed by Vanguard Cadets and Blue Devils B?

kkrepps
It looks like there's a whole bunch of the west coast corps competing Friday at Oceanside, CA. Then some east coast this weekend with the Raiders on Saturday, 7R and Spartans on Sunday(I'll be there). Then we can talk about how this coast or that coast judges harder than the other when the scores are compared...and we have an entire month and a half to do it since no one hardly goes head to head until championships anyway. One helpful thing this year is that Battalion will be competing at two California events in three weeks.
N.E. Brigand
Just now, N.E. Brigand said: One helpful thing this year is that Battalion will be competing at two California events in three weeks. And a couple days later, Guardians will compete against Battalion and three California corps (including Gold) in Salt Lake. So we get a number of chances for cross comparisons. N.E. Brigand
When Legends put out their emergency appeal last year, there was a lot of grumbling on these forums about how that corps needed to learn how to spend wisely. Did the take that lesson to heart? Last year, Legends' first performance was July 2, and they had 10 performances prior to the start of the O.C. tour. This year, their first performance is July 6, and they have 8 performances scheduled before the O.C. tour starts. So it appears they did scale back a bit.
