Reed 244
Colts 2019 (When Hell Freezes Over) Mandarins 2018 (and some might say 2019) Music City 2018 (Hell on Wheels) Crown 2015 (Inferno) SCV 2011 (The Devil's Staircase) Seems to be a pretty popular theme. Any ideas why? (Thinking too much about the Texas tour, maybe?)
Cappybara 11,597
You forgot Cadets 2011 (though I guess it wasn't explicitly about hell)
Reed 244
And maybe because the corps that's won the most are Devils... Can't beat 'em, join 'em... 2

ironlips 1,238
Hell's been a popular theme since, well, Genesis (the book, not the corps), and probably well before that, actually. It's related to the fact that the villain gets all the good parts in literature, stage and film. Always has. We just like scary stories around the campfire, and what's a drum corps show but a big musical campfire?

Minimaster 276
Phantom 2006 “Faust” as well. We’re on a football field. Simple themes(good vs Evil) work well on the big stage.

That ballad and closer - hell, even the opener - are classic lessons in how to program for drum corps.
kkrepps 1,148
Because harps aren't allowed in Drum Corps yet.
