However, I would be very surprised if he wins before his age out since he just aged out this year. 🥲 Regardless, he won the Director's Award from SoA this year and the reaction from the kids at the banquet told me all I ever needed to know about him. Good kid, great leader. He'll be missed, but hopefully Alex sticks around and makes head major for them next year. Another really good kid. SoA's future is very bright. But they do practice those segments during the visual block without the front ensemble. So much poise at such a stressful moment. I watched their directors on the sideline & of course they were crushed for the students. But when the performance ended, they were praising the keyboardist with so much positive feedback. I applaud SoA’s DM for having the wear with all to get them through an unfortunate electronics failure.
