Try something new and innovative, take a risk. In your opinion, what qualifies as challenging and unique and innovative, that they aren't doing already? And from a "business perspective" (not a fan perspective) if you were overall in charge of BD, and you just racked up your 10th title in the last 15 competitive seasons Saturday night, and someone comes in your office Monday morning and says the formula needs to be scrapped and we need to do something else for 2024 to appease some people online, what would your response be as the Director of BD? 4

Would be the only in history, now that's how you up from a three-peat lol. But seriously take nothing for granted, this year alone have told us how strong the field will be coming for 2024, and you just never know who might have that show to go to go toe to toe against BD.

Try something new and innovative, take a risk. Let me correct you here. Every show Blue Devils have ever done, formulaic or not have been High Sky CHALLENGING! If you saying going a different direction, Yes i can be onboard with you on that. They don't need to do anything innovative until they feel that's the way they want to. taking risk is such a subjective term i've come to learn in drum corps. They do take risk with many of their shows if we want to focus on details, just not in the way you want it, so they are overlooked. You want them do an entire risky show like many others are saying, but that's unnecessary unless they want to do that. Who says BD need to push the activity forward ? aren't the activity being pushed forward enough ? Let things flow and evolve naturally, someone else can do it too, give the other more credit that just saying BD SHOULD, why should it be the BD responsibility for that ?

To shut down the nattering nabobs of negativism that run rampant over DCP, BD will have to win 2024 for a no-quibbling-about-it three-peat, and then win 2025 for the first-ever four-peat. (And they can do it, mind you.) But someone is ALWAYS gonna put an asterisk next to this three-peat. Take a look at the 2022 show announcement. It literally lists out, for the unsuspecting and the suspecting, the theme of the trilogy. Look at the quotes on that page in descending order: Yves Klein (Tempus Blue), Henri Matisse (The Cut-Outs), Carl Sagan (“Preserve and cherish the pale blue dot, the only home we’ve ever known.”) https://bluedevils.org/programs/a-corps/seasons/?programID=1&season=2022&module=info OH WOW. You caught that. lol.. They've literally announced a trilogy

The ironic thing is, if anything, it was even more impressive than one in non-worldwide pandemic times, because to get the second one, they had to assemble an almost entirely new corps, after two years of inactivity. That makes it worth at least the equivalent of a five-peat. 😂 4

Brother It just never ends with these people, but i can accept, that's how it is when your at the top, not just drum corps but with anything in life. They are free to please themselves in their own minds, i just won't be joining along with them. Misery likes company, and i won't be apart of theirs... I'll stay on this side with the others who chose to appreciate and enjoys...... Congratulation! to BD for the Elusive Three-Peat Edited August 14, 2023 by theonlyfizzle
