kevingamin
It’s Memorial Day here in the United States. This weekend serves as the unofficial start of summer for the country, as schools start to let out for their summer breaks. Backyard barbecues abound, families take time off from work to go on vacations, and, for me, the 2024 North America drum corps season starts! https://medi-nerd.com/2024/05/27/2024-drum-corps-season-schedule/
Terri Schehr
I would definitely go to the Bloo event at the end of June but I won’t get to Cincinnati until the 30th. We’ll be in Canton, though.

Not sure what the plans for Legacy Arc at the Canton show, but I plan on volunteering that day, so I’ll be around prior to the show in one form or another.
keystone3ply
Some groups use to have a bbq or 'picnic' for parents & alumni on Memorial Day. They would preview what the corps has learned thru their winter camps. I guess those are a thing of the past. Are there any groups that march in a Memorial Day parade? Sec. 222, row 14, seats 1 and 2. I’ve become partial to aisle seats in my state of decrepitude. lol kidding. I’ve never been to Canton despite the fact that a bunch of relatives lived in Barberton. 🤦♀️

dcifanforlife
Drums Across The Rockies July 13th in Fort Collins is the only show where Santa Clara is really impacted by going on first. Eight World Class Corps follow them. Rest of schedule has only four/five corps after them most nights. Blue Stars dropping from 7th to 11th puts them on in the sunlight most nights. They lose a least two hours of rehearsal time each show day. Better be ready from day one since they have a mountain to climb this season. Note: DCI shows time Scores Announced for all shows except for July 1 in Tempe Az and July 16 DCI Hutchinson. This is how DCI lets people know that there will be no judges at these shows. Were is the transparency? Would you want to know before you bought tickets to a show if it was going to be a judged event? And I find it fascinating that Phantom Regiment is doing the encore. Obviously a typo since they are at the Midwest Classic.
MarkHornGA
Anybody know why the Cavies aren’t competing in Atlanta for DCI Southeast? Edited May 28 by MarkHornGA

Long story, but the stadium is horrible. Not all groups are at the ATL show. They use some scores from NightBEAT on Sunday. There's an article somewhere on the DCI site from last year if I can find it.
