Phantombass
Last year's Cadets on the field brass warmup I liked more than the actual show.
kevingamin
LOL, I though it was conditioning so the baris/euphoniums wouldn't be able to complaing about 12 minutes of continuous playing. Baris complain because it's ONLY 12 minutes!

StradmanBW
There's a 6/8 quick lip slur exercise at Bluecoats aptly named "Puberty", and a finger dexterity exercised also aptly named "Manual Pleasure."
Eddie
My favorite would be this breath control exersize that we did. We would start at a soft pp for 4 counts, then crescendo for 4 counts to the loudest (under controled) FF we could play. Then we would rest for 4 counts and do it again one half step down. It's pretty cool when you are around an inclosed space because you get the echo that comes off the walls. Can't remember what we call it though
Rocky Point Modernist
Download the Cadets 2000 and 2001 warm-ups. They're VERY cool. I think (maybe) the Blue Knights actually used some chord progressions the Cadets used in 2000. Can somebody clarify this, or share the experience of hearing these awesome warm ups? Horndoctor
Most definatly "Long F". We would play the scale of F major and start with quarter notes, then halve notes, whole notes and finally double hole notes. That's not too hard you might think, but try it at a FFF+ volume while marching.... B) It really helped us a lot with becomming louder and knowing how far you can go.
