ffernbus3
1967 Air Force Academy Drum and Bugle Corps, since I passed my baritone audition with the now-late and then Ssgt. Keith Markey.....and then got drafted into The Army......there was a waiting line of guys in Orange County trying to get into the Air Force to beat getting drafted, but I could have jumped to the head of the line because I had a slot open for me....EXCEPT!.....Air Force's last gig of the tour was as exhibition corps at Anaheim Kingsmen's home show and they went on leave after that and I couldn't get confirmation I passed the auds. Ok, I did march with them, but I was wearing a Kingsmen uniform and I only marched with them, my "new" corps, from the end zone, where they picked me up, all the way to the parking lot as they left the field.......so, technically, I did march with Air Force 67, but just for a couple of minutes. So that's THAT story and I'm stickin' to it. RON HOUSLEY 67 AK
