Because if it's not.. and you DO march.. not only would that make your middle horn section the LARGEST at 17. 16 does not include me!! Right now, there is no room for me in the corps... Has anyone marched more than 16?BTW - 16 Mellos are extremely loud - even when they have their horns DOWN!!! The mellos are kind of sort of loud, I guess. Not too loud...but strong enough too have some awesome lines running through the horn line. It has to be one of my favorite mid-lines. MikeN Posted June 18, 2002 Share Posted June 18, 2002 I did a writeup on the costs of Bb vs G horns a while back, and from the numbers I got it seems like the average breakdown (in DCI anyways) for the last 5 years comes to like 20-12-20-12 for sop/mello/bari/contra.
