some old corps photos

Okay heres my shot at color correction on these....

I tried working on them too, but just wasn't able to achieve any real improvement. Yours are better, but rather than being too green they almost look too blue. Same struggle I was having.

Sorry but the originals are what they are. I tried to fix them in Photoshop as well and they did look different, but never better. Unfortunately I'm afraid they look as good as they are going to look.

Say, does anyone know why Don Porter left the Kingsmen..anyone, anyone?

Uh...too many post cards with his home number forced him to move out of the country?

Oh, no problem! Actually, they're great photos . . . just a bit on the yellowy-green side. It's strange; some photos respond well to enhancement software, while others don't. But in the end, we're all just glad to have the photos.

This may be true but I think his decision to "retire" after the "famed" 72 season was more indepth...I would like to know his real reason too.....ANYONE have a clue??

Nice photos. Is it ok to put them on our GLDCA yahoo group?

The Cabs were one of our biggest competitors in my drum corps days.

Your welcome to join our group if your not already a member.

Feel free as long as you include a proper attribution to drum-corps.net.

One of their directors resigned just before the 1972 tour - I don't know if it was Mr Porter or not. IIRC decision to go east was made last-minute. There was a thread on it a while back - not sure if here or on RAMD.
