neholgate
Ran this through the color-correction feature: The new picture almost has the look of an acrylic painting. Nancy
sarnia sam
I want to post some pictures, finally, and I've forgotten how to do it. I thought there was a spot to paste the link to Flickr that made it easy to do. last time I posted a pic I'm pretty sure ther was a box or something that said put your link right here dummy. LancerLegend
If memory serves me right, you played the piston with the right thumb and the rotor with the left thumb depending on how you held the horn. I played one of those flugel horns. I also remember my hornline buddies using their left index finger to depress the rotary - they would use the rest of their left hand to hold the left side of the horn. 84BDsop
I also remember my hornline buddies using their left index finger to depress the rotary - they would use the rest of their left hand to hold the left side of the horn. That depended on teh design...I remember seeing one p/r horns where the key for the rotor was almost vertical...DESIGNED to play with that oh so very dexterous thumb.....stupid design.....the index finger one was a better design of hte two. homebilly
i played my mellophone in 1978 with my ring and middle finger as it was a long (about 4 inches) flat rotor palette as well on with traditional piston rotor soprano bugle in 1975-
