Ryan H. Turner
Ron? Is that the front gate to the old San Gabriel Mission in that shot? Don't know if you know (or care) but I was born and raised in Pasadena...

Malibu
I reedited and put the post from Mr. Jim DeLooze who is the photographer who has a lot of great old photos ranging from 77 to 86 jr and sr on sale on ebay and got permission to post on this forum from him. He doesn't mind. He also says he marched and has his on jr. corps somewhere. :) Anyway, here's a cool one of 1983 Bridgemen... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Thanks Lancerlady for telling us about that. I purchased the 1980 CD today! He said he sent it out this afternoon.....can't wait!

St_Marys64
72 Kingsmen <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Love the look, No yard lines, no pit, and trash all over the field. Remember when coming on and off the field although not judged, was in fact part of the show? Now it’s a bit like a circus with some corps, Less is still More , the Corps, the less cluttered field, with music and motion, pretty simple? and still effective
St_Marys64
GREAT PHOTOS PTR250This is Boston 1969 <{POST_SNAPBACK}> BC 1969 The first year Boston did “Mancini 67” The Jazz Version of Conquest, Off the Line. The snare independence was Outrageous. While right hand played the ride part, on the cymbal, the left hand played on the snare, the syncopated sixtieth note passage along with the sops. The first year of Mallets and Melodic drum solos, Pop goes the weasel and Unsquare dance, LOVE THAT Drum Line.

What the VFW made them do (remove the bells) at Nats was a crime. That was the first finals I ever saw, as an audience member. Mike
sarnia sam
This ones kind of funny, their horns are up, but the drum major is at parade rest, as is the Guard Captain.....I shouldn't say funny, but a little odd. I'd want horns down so I could see myself! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You'll note that the drummers got it right. Regards, John
