I do apologize if most include 27 or me or the people I know. I will share all, but bear with the overload of 2-7.

1980 Drum Corps East (NOT DCI East) Gerard Dwyer-Lancer DM and Jim Jordan - I'm sure people can fill in the other DMs

Alan Jones was North Star's DM.

I think at the time the Garfield DMs were Manny Colomb and Tony Aleman.

No idea who BAC's DMs were in 1980.

Competed against the Dutch Boys many times and always felt a bit of sympathy for them because of this uniform. From my memory these were real leather leidehosen (sp). They could never look real serious with this outfit. But they were very much part of drum corps in those days and well known by fans.

We bust our butts at practice to be the best we could. We heard people laughing at us, their fear that we may beat them was all over their faces.

All those who wore this unform did so with pride in our community and drum corps. Our community is of German ancestry

and those are genuine lederhosen, we have the rash to prove it.

Thank God for the pants in 1976, the instructors must have heard us planning our revolt if we didn't get them.
