...............but you also made me think of one other thing:

north-drum-band-82.jpg

OK, so I've lurked here in the Geezer section and I've enjoyed reliving the days when I was just a highschool kid and fan... reading the posts of folks from the corps I worshipped

Then WHAMMM you have to post a pic of those @$%^* North Snare drums.

Aaaaaccckk ! just when the nightmares had finally gone away after 24 years.

At least the mental anguish is easier to deal with than the back problems our Tenors had.

Well it's back to therapy, and back to lurking

Thanks a pant load ! B)

1976

Cavaliers--Had to change much of their show and lost a few members during the season, but still rebounded to place in finals, defeating "the curse," which incidentelly, is written about in quite some detail in my 1976 Cavaliers yearbook article.

... that yearbook was a true masterpiece in writing Boo. It is too bad that most of it would not make it passed the Cavalier Censorship committee or the FCC. :sshh:

  • 2 months later...
Zorba the Greek was the out-of-concert in 1976 that was replaced with the Porgy and Bess medley halfway through the 1976 season. It was never in 1977 and it was never the opener.

And the opener that was replaced was the Seahawk in 78....about the time Warrren was considering opeining the corps to Girls.
