I think Regiment should be a lock for this award, but seeing how Madison didn't win it in '95 and Regiment didn't win it in '03 I wouldn't be surprised to see it go to someone else. Reading these forums is validation enough that they are doing something right by the audience, they don't need no stinkin' Disney Award to prove it! :P

Why is the Spirit of Disney Award only a Top 12 Corps and not Any corps from 1-23rd or Div 2/3 Corps?? I think the Qualifications if you will should not be limited to just the 12. :worthy::huh::huh:

I don't think the award is limited to the top 12. So far the only corps to win the Div I award were in the top 12 but it's not a qualification. There are seperate winners for Div II and Div III.

After seeing Phantom last night, I think they look and sound great but just don't have the difficulty level to beat Cavies or Cadets.  I see Cadets in first, Cavies in second, and Phantom in third and winning the Disney award.

I keep hearing this, but I just don't buy it. I saw Cadets and Cavaliers live, and have only heard Regiment on the APDs, but...to my ears, Regiment's horn book sounds just as difficult -if not more so- than Cavaliers and Cadets. So I assume that you are referring only to visual...don't know much about Regiment's visual this year, unfortunately, but was not entirely impressed with Cadets, though I am sure they have a) cleaned it up and B) added more wow moments since the Orlando show.

I'm sorry, but that is just bunk! What the heck is so difficult about Cadets or Cavies show that causes you to think that way? In so many other ways the Regiments show is SUPERIOR to those, that the supposed "difficulty" of their shows is negated.

Rocketman - getting a little huffy here

(takes a breath)
