DrumCorps21
I saw someone else do something like this earlier but it wasn't quite to scale. Boredom and way too much free time on my hands got me to make this. It's not perfect, but it does give a general idea of where the corps that made it to DCA championships this year are from, both the competiting field corps and the alumni field corps. If I have still more free time, I'll add the minicorps that came, and then the corps that couldn't make it this year, and finally the places where new corps are starting up. It's just my personal fascination with maps... hopefully a visual representation of where we are, where we were, and where we hope to some day be as a senior/all-age corps activity. Give me time. cabsbaritone
But I hope it Answers the Question of Why Finals should remain in the East!
Rratex
Isn't Winston/Salem in the East? Just not Northeast.

ReneGuard7
But I hope it Answers the Question of Why Finals should remain in the East! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> ...and maybe if it didn't remain in the EAST then more corps would grow in the WEST! Yes, the last time I looked Winston-Salem was in the East!
crubum
then we could split into 2 divisions, that would be cool
Ron H
But I hope it Answers the Question of Why Finals should remain in the East! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Actually it looks like the geographic epicenter is somewhere near eastern Ohio. Mark Time
An interesting thing to note is that even though almost half of the corps in attendance were non-northeastern corps, ALL of the judges were from the Northeast. It would have been nice if a couple of judges could have been brought in from other parts of the country.
kevingamin
Actually it looks like the geographic epicenter is somewhere near eastern Ohio. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Ahh, so I really am the geographic center of senior corps! :D
