gongfunker
I like 92 Crossmen, even though it wasn't a complete ending...I still like the way it ended.
84BDsop
84 BD....the best rendition of the "New York Fantasy/La Suerte/Ya Gotta Try/Legend" tag.... 80 didn't have the La Suerte lick 81 was a little flst to me 82 was great, but a little slow 83 was probably good, but the battery was too loud on the recording 84 was the last year for it (although Float DID put the Legend licks in the 85 and 89 shows), and you can actually hear the La Suerte line in the altos. besides....I played it, so I'm biased!! tommytimp
With the 'darls bars' in the battery. That's a great closer.
84BDsop
With the 'darls bars' in the battery. That's a great closer. Yah...the entire sequence just screams "THIS IS WHO AND WHAT WE ARE....DEAL WITH IT!" right in yer face! We actually didn't play it on first your in 84...we reprised the last few bars of the opener (felt very Garfield 83-ish). between tours Wayne played with the ending a little, then pulled the NYF tag...the vets just took one look and put the scores down...they knew it, of course. The first time we played it in show was Modesto, 1st show on 2nd tour...I remember the crowd response being pretty much insane when we hit the fit recognizable notes. GOD that was a rush!!
