84BDsop
This really needs to be divided into 2 eras....mylar and kevlar...drumming styles changed when kevlar heads came out, particularly in the snares...basses & tenors had to keep up. Mylar era (up through 1988...in 89 snare books started taking advantage of the clarity of kevlar) Snare: BD/Spirit (Float years) Tenors: SCV 80....any line that can nail Stone Ground Seven.... Basses: Suncoast, 85 or 86...they were amazing! Plates: SCV...any year Pit: BD....'cause of Catherine Float Kevlar (90 and on) Snare: Cadets or BD, particularly in the 2000s...hard to choose Tenors: SCV Basses: BD Platec: SCV Pit: BD....2000 (the run near the end....OMG!!) InspaDave
scv 04 snare line93 Cadets tenors 92 Crossmen bassline 85 Suncoast Cymbals Cavies 01 pit Nice call on the '92 Crossmen Bassline. The snares from the glory days get most of the praise (and deservedly so) but the basses in those years were some groovin' cats.
