One trend I have noticed so far just for arguments sake, they have not been inside 10.0 points of the Blue Devils at any show so far. And if this were to continue and let's say BD scores 98.5 give or take 0.5 at semis, would 88.5 or so get the Blue Knights into Finals? I know the season is young and BD will probably slow down a little once they leave the west coast, but does anybody feel BK's show is in need for any major changes? I know the staff has been critical of their lack of enthusiasm and concentration. Note there is no Crossmen score listed above and Glassmen overseas. Phantom007
You also have to factor in the Seattle Cascades who are supposedly sounding great and looking better then expected
Morgoth Bauglir
Crossmen have also not been figured in.

Glassmen, Crossmen, and Spirit all in decent Finals spots also with sweet shows. And Seattle making the cut :) 02 was a GREAT year.
wesleyrp
Surprise surprise a BK alum says they'll do great. What you have to remember about my hometeam is that they always start the year off a little slow and then surge in July. This is due to the fact that the visual technique book and body movement are so different from anyone out there. I can tell you this from their winter program. They had the highest and best quality talent that they've ever had and the corps is retaining it's members. Although I have not seen them yet this year i can tell you that the hornline/guard and battery are the best they've been. This hornline is taught to play so dark and from the reviews which also have been very positive they sound incredible. I believe it is what it is which is the corps is dirty right now and they seem based off reviews to have a very difficult show. In 97 we were getting 10 pointed by the Cadets and BD and finished 9th. In 98 we also were 10 pointed a few times through out the summer and were at least 7th most of the summer before slumping to 9th in the end. What do numbers mean right now? If you're getting a low 60's # finals may not be out of reach but is hard. if your in the 70's you're on target and if your in the 80's your BD. Ha Ha Ha b**bs It is always possible in today's DCI that they could be fantastic and not make it. But I doubt it. The break down in the recap reflects dirt and the Knights ahve a great staff that is all about cleaning and more cleaning. I personally think that in the end they will be 9th or better come finals week. W. Perkins BK '97 '
frontline99
A DCI official described the show to me saying, "You have to see Blue Knights. The show isn't very entertaining, but is very deep and dark." I have no idea what that means. I was utterly confused. Confused but intrigued. I'll see tomorrow. BK does have the amazing power to hit the middle of the finals pack and then drop out of sight completely the next year, only to shoot back in the thick of things the next. We shall see. Cainan
10 (13) - 71.75 (2) - Colts11 (06) - 71.45 (3) - Spirit 12 (10) - 70.70 (1) - Blue Knights 13 (15) - 68.50 (2) - Blue Stars Really now, the Blue Knights shouldn't be the only ones concerned. Looks like Blue Stars have designs on attending the Saturday night show, and not from the stands mind you....
