TexasPRfan
Seems like we have 14 corps with a good shot a finals this year, with a real dog fight for those last 2 spots. While I haven't seen everyone yet, and will have a lot better feel after San Antonio, here's how I see things falling out at this point, with Phantom Regiment seeming to have the most possibilities for upward or downward movement on this list: 1 BD 2 Cavies 3 Cadets 4 Regiment - will they work their in-season visual design magic again this season? 5 Bluecoats 6 SCV 7 Carolina Crown 8 Boston Crusaders 9 Madison 10 Blue Knights 11 Glassmen - Europe sure makes this corps a wild card! 12 Colts 13 Spirit 14 Crossmen Harvey
Silver_King
Corps Score Change Last Show 1. Blue Devils 83.05 2. Cavaliers 82.60 3. The Cadets 82.20 4. Bluecoats 81.90 5. Phantom Regiment 80.45 6. Carolina Crown 78.15 7. Madison Scouts 78.10 8. Santa Clara Vanguard 77.60 9. Boston Crusaders 77.15 10. Blue Knights 75.40 11. Colts 73.40 12. Crossmen 72.40 that is the current standings and you no what i see i see that madison is .05 away from sixth. i read every prediction saying how Scouts will be in like 10th. Right now they are .5 ahead of SCV. Yet the fact that they are improving everyone still puts them down just because they got off to a rough start and had terrible guard work. my one prediction is madison will be in the top

Scouts jumped over two points in their last show. Prior to that, the current standings would have had them in ninth, behind Boston and Crown. If someone thinks that Boston and Crown are better, and would outscore Scouts in head-to-head, it's very easy to see how they could have the Scouts in ninth. That's where I placed them, actually. Just A Plain Old Fan
BD Cadets Cavaliers Bluecoats Phantom SCV Boston Crown Madison Crossmen Spirit Glassmen In those, let's see, what's a synonym for slots..."tiers," yes tiers, there will be some movement, but I think this order is pretty close. jonnyboy
How about we add a caveat? Only those who have seen every corps this season can predict the outcome on Agust 12th. :P I would love to see every corps live, but I really think I can make better predictions bassed on past experience, DCP forum reveiw and scoring trends. From my Head: Devils The Cadets Cavaliers Bluecoats Phantom Crown Santa Clara Madison Boston Blue Knights Glassmen Spirit Crossmen - battle for 13th Colts From my Heart: The Cadets (singing fixed or Sanvean given to a mellophone) win Bluecoats (getting better every year) top three would be nice Crossmen make top 12, with season long steady caption performance score climb they win the 10th spot. Ageout90
How come so many of you have the Glassmen so low in your standings...(some predictions actually are in 12th-14th?) Did I miss something while they have been in Europe? Only two weeks+ ago they came out with one of their highest if not their all time "best" opening score at the Glassbowl. I expect them to be in the battle with Crown, Boston, and Scouts for that 6-10 battle.
wesleyrp
San Antonio is definantly going to be a hot show. It is too bad the best ticket I could get last week was 25-30 yard line 5th row, ouch!! But hey it will still be fun. My crystal Ball says: 1. Cavies- Edges out the Godfather in the end. 2. BD- May whack someone if they don't win, forget abou it :P 3. Phantom- Not enough drill to hit top two? 4. Bluecoats- Could pass up Phantom, but will hit top 4 status 5. Cadets- Judges wierded out in the end. 6. SCV- Glad to see you in the grouping you belong. 7. Boston- Just misses top 6 finish. 8. Blue Knights- Makes huge splash with trip to the Dark Side. 9. Crown- Show not up to last two? Probably is, but corps around them are better. 10. Madison- No shame being here. 11. Glassmen- May have placed higher if not checking out the louve, ooh la la. 12 Spirit- Does show have enough substance to get higher placement? 13. Colts- Baely misses. 14. Crossmen- young corps will be back in in the next few years. Wesley Perkins BK '97 '
