GmenBari78
I told him that you could call these the "G" adapters (convert the Bb horns volume to G horns volume level with these). I thought the same thing -- actually, more like 1970s-80s adapters -- bringing current corps sound up to the loudness level of the past, while maintaining the "purer" sound of good intonation and quality. Of course, that begs the question of amplifying the horns so the "ear amps" are not needed, but ugghh, no thanks....
Michael Boo
I think they would just look weird on the wearer I think they would cause people sitting in back of the wearer to think, "Gee, I've got to get myself a set of those." And I'm guessing one who wears them would field a lot of questions from others wanting to know how effective they are.
Chuckels
The souvie guy at Indy was Carolina Crown. they have them for sale and I must admit they worked very well in the dome. They tended to cut out some of the reverb and allowed you to hear more balance between hornline and percussion.

DCP's first testimonial on these babies. :P

Matt_S
Saucedo sat beside me on the steps at Indy in '02 and cupped his hands through the entire Cavies show. I have to admit I tried it on the next corps, and it works! You do look a little weird, though... We must have been sitting just a few seats away. I remember seeing Saucedo as well, a few seats over to my left, but I must confess I never looked away from the field the entire time the Cavaliers were performing. *edit* Nevermind, I see that you mentioned 2002. Ooops.
WLCBonr04
I find cupping the ear is great until you reach an unexpected FFF from the performing corps and then you find yourself in the lap of the people behind you. But all that aside, I would definitely purchase them! :P
PageantryVisGuy
I'm sorry but...just...no. I'll stick with the hands...I already look weird enough. :P
apoch003
This is drum corps. You shouldn't need help hearing it. :(
