  1. Though in the tradition section of the Cavaliers website, it's stated as having been sung since 1951...as their rise to national prominence began.
  2. BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thx...I needed that.
  3. BWAHAHAHAHAHAA!!!!!!!! Sorry...just had to laugh at that one... Though, if it really happened... <**>
  4. WOW...nearly 600 users reading this thread....HI EVERYBODY!!!!!!!!!
  5. Lets not forget...cascades are also undefeated!! BTW...who hasn't been to their sweet website yet?? http://www.seattlecascades.org/
  6. Dang...surprised you aren't saying that about Cavies. I mean, since they've won...what...5 times in the past 7 years. So yeah, someone else has won besides BD. quit freakin' out. EVERYBODY, quit freakin' out, or I'll turn this car around RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!!!!!! Anyway, back to the topic at hand. I LOVE DRUM CORPS!!!!! I'm glad it's a highly exciting season. Scores just seem to be everywhere for a lot of corps!! Seasons like this are always the best.
  7. ANY guard. I never got the chance...I always did hornline. I passed up any chances at doing guard...now I REALLY regret it. Now I'm 24, and nowhere near a IW group that would probably take me anyway...
  8. Is there a solid indroduction format? I thought everyone just kinda did it similar with their own little tweaks added. How do you get to do that though? I've always wondered...I would love to be a DCI/BOA/WGI/whatever announcer.
  9. HEY! Sweet dude...I have three of those. Anyway...the first time I'll be seeing the Cavaliers show...or ANYONE'S show this year, will be in Atlanta, GA...So I'll hold any opinions until then. I'll make sure and bring a pad of paper and a pen to write notes and give my opinions later...
  10. Ok, so in all the time I've marched and been around drum corps, I've NEVER noticed this "Jonz" thing before... I'm guessing that's what SCV calls their drumline?? If it is, anyone know where it came from?? Sorry if I'm asking stupid questions that everyone already knows...
  11. EWWW...I hope it'll be better with a plume... If there's one corps uniform that DIDN'T need to change, it was the colts...I loved their uniform before. The tiger stripe lookin' things make it look like it was sloppily thrown together, and I usually love change... I'm sorry, but of all the new uniforms, this is the least appealing to me. HOPEFULLY it will look better on the field...PLEASE say it will look better on the field.
  12. In no particular order... 1996 (can't believe it hasn't been mentioned yet...) 2000 2003
  13. We always had the on-going thing that for every year of drum corps that you march, your body ages 7 years. According to that, since I aged out in '04 with 4 years total marching, I am now 52. :D
  14. Is 2004 an option? IMHO it was a step up for every group from 2003...just seemed to be a *bleh* year to me...
  15. I've performed in a winter percussion group that did the piece...was pretty fun. You can find the arrangement at www.rowloff.com. It's on this page... http://www.rowloff.com/MarchingFolder/ClassicalMPF.html It's like the 6th one down.
  16. I think someone said once that the absolute fastest tempo you can march before it's impossible to get feet out of the sound is like 230ish...and that's for any marching style. I know in 2001 Cavaliers, much of the show was above 200 bpm. I think (if I remember correctly) the closer ended up somewhere close to 220.
  17. Did your corps not have toilet paper or something???
