Krista
not weird. ever cup your hands over your ears to hear the hornline/corps better? well, now dcp has provided a way for you to give your hands a nice break. :)
Cardman
not weird. ever cup your hands over your ears to hear the hornline/corps better? well, now dcp has provided a way for you to give your hands a nice break. :) In case you think that Krista is crazy, go watch Blue Devils' 92 show, and there is a shot of the audience (near the beginning, if I recall correctly) where you can see a guy cupping his hands over his ears...Just FYI... oswald
I once had an instructor that advised cups with no bottoms on one's ears while practicing Arban...
Geoff
not weird. ever cup your hands over your ears to hear the hornline/corps better? well, now dcp has provided a way for you to give your hands a nice break. :) I do it all the time at shows. Now, I'll be able to drink my favorite bee...err, soda, and not have to worry about cupping my hands. :)
madscout96
Anyone seen anyone wear those at a show yet??
momoblooo
Anyone seen anyone wear those at a show yet?? Saucedo sat beside me on the steps at Indy in '02 and cupped his hands through the entire Cavies show. I have to admit I tried it on the next corps, and it works! You do look a little weird, though...
Jeff DeMello
If you've ever watched Wayne Downey when he's in "cleaning mode", you'll see him cupping his ears. It got me to play clean! ;) Edited July 11, 2006 by Jeff DeMello
ChicagoFan
I saw someone in the souvenier area at Indy wearing a pair of ear cups. For years, I've cupped my hands to my ears to better focus the sound and I've often thought I could make a million dollars (or at least a hundred) by inventing some sort of hands-free device that would achieve the same results. Someone beat me to it!!
crfrey71
I talked to John Donovan about these at the show in Walnut. He showed me a pair. It has the DCP logos on it. Seems there is more interest in these than both myself and John thought. I told him that you could call these the "G" adapters (convert the Bb horns volume to G horns volume level with these).
