Cadets Guard Clip from the Ballad

I've always been a big Cadets fan, BUT, boy does their drill need cleaning!

Ballad is pretty, vocals don't bother me. Sabre toss is very nice. Wonder what the drums and battery were doing (mix).

This clip sounded better than their performance in Rockford. The singer was over amped because I could hardly hear the brass. Perhaps, that was the reason why Phantom beat them that night.

No. I read Hop's blog and it had to be something else outside the control of the Cadets.

Well, Phantom being better is deffinately outside the control of the Cadets...and solely in the control of Phantom. So I guess that works. :)

I think the clip is interesting in that the viewers really seem to be into the show. The Cadets do have a lot of "wow" moments. My opinion is that their music arrangements are not very good. Of course, I enjoy the park and bark more than most too.

Does Dani still go into the stands before the show? I'm just wondering because I could really use a date.

Hmm...I like it. But it's the kind of piece I feel I'd like once, in one show, but never in another, because it doesn't seem there's anywhere to go with it. Nice, pretty chords, and fine here. But unlike Malaguena or Appalachian Spring (and I'm choosing these because people complain they're done to death) there's no room for variations on said theme, I feel.
