Krista
I really enjoy the music the hornline is playing....it's absoultely beautiful. I just don't much see the need for the singing on top of it. IMO, it covers up something already wonderful.

I dont see the singing as on top or anything, moreso it blends with... this might not be the best recording due to the peoples placement vc the corps (i think the ppl taping it were was to the left) and not ot mention the recorder. Lance
Yeah, it would sound really weird without that solo part at all. And I don't think it would sound good at all if a sop or mello were playing it either. Just me, though. :)

That is so winterguard!
NIGHTFLY3000
Is it possible, that in spite of the vocals, the brass gave me chills? Imagine what this could be like sans vocals!!!!
jayboe172
the singing doesn't bother me but I don't really see a need for it.
geluf
My biggest problem with this ballad has been that its really just a chord progression. The singer isn't singing a melody, she's just part of the chord. Its a PRETTY chord progression...but thats all it is. There's no melodic content. The mix seems off here too...like its not blending well. But I can probably blame the recorder for that.

That's exactly what I've thought since the first time I heard it a couple of months ago.
