Studio Tan
Of course it does. If you can adapt it to the idiom and make it sound interesting and recognizable, go for it. Also, someone do a Radiohead show.

Studio Tan
You know what would be really crazy? A Neu! show. Just pick a mode to work in and have everybody improvise their parts for 11 minutes.
Studio Tan
Other popular and semi-popular stuff that would make great shows: David Bowie's Low A variety of Tom Waits music Talking Heads - Fear of Music and Remain in Light Frank Zappa, take your pick basically The Arcade Fire - Funeral
GMichael1230
A little different idea but still in the vein of popular music would be a show of "sade" music. Arranged properly, it could be hot and a great vehicle for a corps like Blue Devils. ~G~
Studio Tan
I can see the Madison Scouts having a blast with the 'Heads, myself. Hey, if anybody doesn't want some of the songs I don't think would be great songs for a show like that, then don't PM me and I'd be not happy to not send you them. Studio Tan
Doesn't anyone have any opinions on Talking Heads or the Arcade Fire.
TAMUK420
how bout some system of a down? who do you think would be able to pull that off, if possible? Edited July 15, 2006 by TAMUK420
Studio Tan
Nu-metal isn't quite as conducive to being adapted. At least Talking Heads involves a brass section at times. System of a Down shouldn't be playing System of a Down, let alone anyone else. However, an Armenian repertoire might prove interesting.
