artlady
Scores are posted on DCI now!!! Congratulations to everyone who participated. A little biased, The Cavaliers Percussion Ensemble (which included my son) won I & E for the third straight year.

MAV
Good morning....2:40 AM. ug. What an incredible I&E! I saw something like 45 performances and everyone was just on the ball. Highlights later, but yes - I saw Tim Jackson's stunning performance early in the morning. Right after the BD recording session. He had THREE sets of tenors...all tuned! And he played "The Godfather." What was truly amazing - if that wasn't enough - one of the mallets flew off and he ended up playing all the last couple of phrases with one mallet. Didn't even phase him. He's been to five I&E's and won 4 in a row. Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy. SCV Cymbals? You thought they were scary on the field? Holy cow! They were in 'war paint' very tribal. Very intense. And finally...got to hand it to Colts - the reigning champs - who arrived in style. More later... sleep sleep... Piper
I don't acknowlege I&E's anymore since they (Hoppy maybe?) included woodwinds. Sorry, but that's not Drum Corps.
A27Lancer
If DCA allows kazoos at I&E, I'm in. I do a mean "William Tell". Piper, I noticed they also had a category called "dance". DANCE????? (Even though someone from BAC won), but DANCE????? Whatever happened to right faces and about faces?
