shostahoosier
I'll still waiting for the 3 casinos in Detroit to be a good thing for the city. The casino in Michigan City (in Indiana) has been good to the town and county.
ToreyP
I'm pretty sure the casino that you guys and gals are talkin about is actually going to be located in Bethlehem on the site of the old Bethlehem steel corp. The Sands casino is working with the city to ensure that the casino doesn't adversely effect the city, which already has a few rough spots. JimF-LowBari
i'm not getting excited...Gettysburg has been on the list to get one too, and it's been a huge fight. Also supposed to get one east of Harrisburg at Penn National Race Track but things have been moving slower than fozen dog crap (and no one is fighting it). My sis and bro in law live behind the race track and only thing going on is a huge pissing contest on who will pay to upgrade the roads for all the traffix that's supposed to start coming in. Then around St Patricks Day the nephew of one of the Gambling board members got drunked up and dropped his girlfriend out of a 20+ story window. Turns out nephew was in town to get a job with the gambling comission (can you say nepotism?). Think Unc had to resign over the whole fiasco. HBeyer2177
Yes... As of now, the main focus is turning the old Steel Mill into the casino and adding nice condos to it as well. They already have a bar/pub there now as well and I believe that one of the colleges purchased one portion of them as student housing. At least they're making an effort to do something with it instead of letting it sit or demolishing it...
