1989 Phantom Regiment

The final minute or so...you know the part...right after the hornline forms the Giant "S" and you can hear that :sshh: person squeal "JUDGES ARE YOU WATCHING?" (no you idiot, they're all too busy looking at the moth that just landed on the 35 yard line!!!!).

The middle horns sound out the "goin' home" theme in a way that makes things uncertain.

You have this ominous dark chord...

And then the sopranos shout out and it echoes into eternity...

The rest of the horn line answers...

And then 30000+ people just completely lose it...

Wow, there are a lot to choose from, although not that many from the 2000s, unfortunately (perhaps a tad bit of a lost art?):

1. Scouts 1995. Pure Pandemonium.

2. SCV 1988/89. Magical.

3. Phantom Regiment 2003. It even drove an Orlando crowd wild.

4. Cadets 1995. Goose bump city.

5. Scouts 1999. The last time the Scouts and the audience let it all hang out.

6. Cadets 1987. From the front/dissolve/front on, a magical way to end the show

7. Phantom Regiment 1990/1991. Bacchanale is one of the all time great closers.

8. Phantom Regiment 2006. The ENTIRE closer finished off this jewel of a show.

9. Scouts 1997. Another Scouts show that took the crowd over the edge.

10. Star 1991. Cross into Cross - and into history.

11. SCV 1990. SCV sure knows how to end a show...

12. Phantom Regiment 1989. From the Soprano entrance on. Wow.

13. Phantom REgiment 1993/1994. Death Hunt was a #### of an ending (better in 1993 than 1994, though)

14. Bluecoats 1995. People can forget how great a celebration this show was - overshadowed by Cadets of the same year.

15. VK 1992. Craziness at it's best, and the crowd went beserk.

16. Boston 2000.

17. Colts 1995. Sunday in the Park. Great, emotional ending.

18. BD 2004. Only on Finals Night. The train leaves the station, finally concluding the show.

I'm sure I could think of more...

Phantom + Kickstep = amazing.

I was losing my mind at the end of Phantom this year too.

when I saw Madison live in 04, in the blast zone at nightbeat, when the DM turned around and screamed to the audience... that was pretty awesome too.

lots of great ones, but for me, its Spirit '80.

anyone at Legion Field that night will never forget the sound of Spirit saying "goodbye" to Jim Ott.

Boy, did you just say a mouthful!!!! And we had to go on after them....... :worthy:

OK, for me, besides 80 Spirit

Any year SCV did the bottle dance - no music was needed but it was a beautiful addition! :worthy:

And so many more!

Say what you want about Phantom's Dreams of Desire show, Bacchanale simply rocked.
