kevingamin
Somebody's already pointed out that Empire is the one who'll get hurt by the fireworks. If Bucs win, some will say they did because they had extra time to prepare. If Bucs lose, some will say they did because they got "iced" by the fireworks. See, I've got all the conspiracy covered in one post. :D
north state di
It can be a big hype....definitely got the crowd going right before them...almost like the fireworks are FOR them...just another way to view the fireworks.
kevingamin
Too bad it couldn't have been coordinated to happen after the last corps performed. At least they cooperated and didn't fire up the cannons until a break was given. I doubt the baseball fans would have waited that long, especially since it's the last game of the year and it's getting cooler outside. I agree....but couldn't the DCA show started earlier? Just a thought.
27th Parallel Winter Guard
could be a nice effect if timed correctly...lol

In 1996, Glassmen were performing in Evanston, IL, at Northwestern U's stadium. During Strike Up the Band, a July 4th fireworks display started behind us and could be seen over the back of the stadium. The crowd went wild but we had no idea what was going on since we couldn't see the fireworks and were far enough away that we couldn't hear them over our own sound. cabalumsw
could be a nice effect if timed correctly...lol At DCA Finals in Syracuse one year, they had fireworks with the corps on retreat. Was pretty neat.
kevingamin
I agree....but couldn't the DCA show started earlier? Just a thought. Maybe if there was no Alumni Spectacular. PAETEC staff would want enough time to clear out the stadium, clean it up for Finals, and prep for the crowd to come in starting at 4:30, an hour before the show started. kevingamin
They're setting up the trophy table down front in preparation for retreat.
north state di
Every corps has it's obstacles to perfection...it will not slow down the performance but hey, there are corps that drive farther, fly farther etc. to get here and we just judge them on the performance....onward and upward!!
