JimF-LowBari
Good luck in bringing a competing corps back to Johnsonburg. Man, that brings back flashbacks of the RCA days.
Vern Contra
Should we plan for a bigger combined July 4th :) Jeff, I sure hope so! :)
Vern Contra
A new corps - fantastic! Good luck with getting launched. Are you planning on competing in 2007?Yay!!!!! Jim I would say that right now we are trying to "build membership". All are welcome. If we could hit 50 Brass that would be the most amazing thing. There have been hundreds of participants in our area in the recent past. Which is pretty good for our small area. We just have to convince them to dedicate a little time to this fun activity we call Drum Corp. Anybody have any sure fire ways to accomplish that? :D

Jeff Ream
you guys are in the heart of Chapter 11 and bordering on 8 and 4 in TOB. get your butts out to shows and recruit. it helped Westshore for years down here til one director ruined it for everyone. that area is growing...some good programs out there that get better every year.....this is a potential windfall for you guys
zarblap
I've been down there when Storky was doing the drum line back in the 70's, what a great bunch of people down there, hope you the best. Maybe you could get Jim Steffan to do the drum line if you don't have anybody yet,he's still in Jamestown,NY. And a special hello to the little blonde that played baritone, what a sweet heart she was!!!!!!!good luck.

The guard programs have been doing well over the last few years and we've never had problems recruiting horns. The drumlines are now just up and coming and I've heard there are few local lines that are really decent. They still have a ways to go to reach the quality of the bands in your part of the state, but they definetly are getting better as time goes on.
