rai-mello
It's a nwe twist to their usual style. Then again, so was My Kind of Town. I personally don't like the idea much. But if they kick butt, it's all good. B)
jake_the_hydra
I don't know why this is surprising. When wondering what would happen after Machine, the first thing that came to my mind was Billy Joel. Just me?
Tom Brace
I don't know why there are so many people who are disappointed in the theme of Cavies' show. I just look forward to seeing what they (and every corps) actually present. Then and only then will I be able to say whether or not I like a particular show.I have personally liked several shows by rock musicians --- BD 1990 (The Who), Cadets 2004 (Jethro Tull), Glassmen 1994 (Moody Blues). There are also some that I did not care for --- Bluecoats 1992 (Beatles). Give 'em a break. They haven't even played a note yet. OK...Bob...gotta bust you out on that one. Billy Joel a rock musician? Hmmm...not in the league with the others mentioned. He's much more in the pop "Elton John" genre...except he has this wicked NY thing going on that Sir Elton can't touch. dbc03
Matt.......I'm more shocked myself. Musically this show will be cool, but what in the world do you do visually???? Variations on a box of course! :P
Rocketman
While I give them the benefit of the doubt, it does nothing for me at the moment. RM ampssuck

Wildabeast
I'll check to see if BJ's classical CD is in iTunes and listen to the snipets in a moment. In the meantime, "And So It Goes" would make for a nice ballad. ....or maybe they're tired of winning. It's been awhile since they've placed out of the top 3. :P Edited November 30, 2006 by Wildabeast
InHiFiStereo
No "Uptown Girl" or "Piano Man." Otherwise I'm game.
bobchilds
OK...Bob...gotta bust you out on that one. Billy Joel a rock musician? Hmmm...not in the league with the others mentioned. He's much more in the pop "Elton John" genre...except he has this wicked NY thing going on that Sir Elton can't touch. Alright. You really got me there. Consider me busted. It seems that my point went right over your head. I'm not going to split hairs about what is rock and what is pop. That has nothing to do with whether Billy Joel's genre of music will translate well to Cavies show next year. I'm just looking forward to seeing what they do with it next year, and I'm thrilled that I will get to see them in Pasadena.
