raphael18
Out of curiosity - in 04 there was a rain-out show where Madison's EQ couldn't make it to the show, so PR let Madison use their horns for the concert. Someone that was at that show that had previously seen Madison on that occassion as well as another might be able to attest to any difference in the quality of the lines sound - just a thought. thePerfectbuzz
I guess the terminology one uses depends on the person. Regiment 2003 alums apparently call it "pushing the instruments to their limits." I consider it overblowing. To each his own. I second that...they just seem to have an obnoxious sound

jake_the_hydra
I wouldn't call the Yamaha label an oversimplification. Like I said, they sound good...IF you know how to make them sound good. exactly and there's really about only two corps that do.
JayM
My friend in Boston sitting next to me just informed me that they use Kings, not Yamahas, Chris. I do remember seeing a couple of Yammy baritones in their line a couple of years back. Maybe 04? They definitely had a mix.
