A drumcorps that has an endorsement deal with for brass or percussion pays much less. Most will get battery equipment for free, pit equipment at a great discount, and Horns at well below retail.

Usually corps will put thier horns up for sale every year. A good example would be Crown selling thier entire brassline to Avon HS (IN) last summer. The EQ truck dropped them off on the way back from Madison.

YOW (sa)! Me thinks those prices are way off (especially since I have been pricing equipment the past year). I could not see purchasing the used instruments at the prices they were quoting on their website....especially since even with the best of care DC usage is very hard on equipment.

Of course, King is known to be a bit steep....
