SWEuph04
So I work for the Nashville Symphony as a Recording Assistant. This week they are performing The Romeo and Juliet Suite.... this would be such an awesome show in my opinion.... what are your thoughts? MJN
Didn't PR play that in 88? I can't remember for sure, but the 88 show was great. I think there guard won.
Tony L.
I too think that Prokofiev's ballet has incredible music and that it would make a great show. Not only is the music great, but you also get the benefit of a ready made story line that every fan knows. I actually always thought of SCV when I heard it, but I also had the idea of Southwind doing it after seeing how well they handled some of Khatchuturian music a few years ago. And 1988 Phantom was Tchaikovsky's Romeo & Juliet, not Prokofiev's.
Slow Adam
BD 1998 was also Tchaikovsky. I would like to hear Prokofiev's.
kevingamin
I would dig some Montegues and Capulets on the field. That movement gets my blood going every time.

Iplaytimpani
Whoops. My bad on the wrong composer. I too would love to see the Capulets/Montague aspects but would see it turning into the cool/west side story stuff, ala madison 05. Just how I would see it ending up. Would still love to hear it and see it done well!
Whiskey
Absolutely love the piece and it would transfer very well. I think Lawrence Central H.S. from Indiana did this at BOA in 1997. It was a very nice show to listen to. The soft ending is just beautiful.
