Favorite Stadiums

Recommended Posts

OK, I am sure this has been discussed before, but what are everyones favorite stadiums?

From my personal experience:

1) Arrowhead Stadium, Kansas City

2) Camp Randall, Madison

3) Warhawk Stadium, Whitewater

4) Foxboro Stadium, Foxboro

5) Rich Stadium, Buffalo

Worst has to be the Cotton Bowl.

Camp Randall has always been my favorite and Arrowhead would be right behind that.

I would love to perform at Invesco. As a spectator, that place is awesome!

I've only watched, so here's my list off the top of my head (in no particular order):

1) Bakersfield College Memorial Stadium (CA) - last drum corps show there in 1989.

2) Invesco Field - Let's do that again!

3) Camp Randall - Finally got to sit inside the big house this past summer.

4) Calif. State University, East Bay - "Hayward" as it will always be known to me, nice view of part of the San Francisco Bay.

5) San Jose State Univ. Spartan Stadium - "drum corps on your laps" ($1 to Dan Potter), only drawback is the planes that sometimes fly overhead going into (or leaving) San Jose International.

I'm anticipating a good experience at the remodeled Stanford Stadium for DCI West.

Invesco Field - best of everything

San Antonio - best A/C plus Bill Miller's across the street

the HS where the Hornell, NY show is held - greatest turf + immaculate ice cream shop around the corner

WORST - Foxboro ... you had to be there in 05 to know

2nd WORST - Camp Randall ... stupid logistics, rediculously stupid

dishonorable mention - Indianapolis ... the labrynth walk to the airlock on some of the hottest asphalt around

I was there in 05, and I agree 110 percent. The overwhelming majority of folks at that stadium that I personally came into contact with were without a doubt the rudest, most uncooperative bunch I've ever seen. If DCI ever returns to Foxboro (fat chance of that since the DCI officials were also treated very poorly), I won't be there.

It's amazing how a bunch of idiot stadium employees can taint your opinion of an entire region.

I can't begin to tell you how much it pleased me for the New England Patriots to get beat by the Colts in the last minute of their game on Sunday.

Papa John's stadium in Louisville is good.

Columbus Crew Stadium in Columbus is good.

Broken Arrow High School is good.

The Glass Bowl doesn't suck.

Warhawk Stadium doesn't either.

Way back in the day, Rynerson Stadium at Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti, MI was great.

No on the Citrus Bowl in Orlando.
