2000Cadet
I think some people are confusing song with show.....On that note I'm gonna say that it's gonna be freakin hard for Cadets to match SCV 99 in Blue Shades. As much as I loved the Cadets version I heard, if they win I think those two songs in 99 and 07 will always be compared. Song/show, whatever. They still shouldn't be played again. And I don't think it'll be hard for The Cadets to match or even top SCV's version of Blue Shades either.
NR_Ohiobando
The only time I ever thought Blue Shades worked was in Crossmen's 99 show.(although I haven't seen Spirit's show from last year yet). It seemed kinda out of place in SCV's 99 show. The Cadets' arrangement this year sounds somewhat similar with a bit of "Cadets" flavor added to it. In the same way, it also seems out of place. Now if the Bluecoats stretched it out to an entire show I think that'd work perfectly... Oh yeah- Phantom Regiment - Fire of Eternal Glory 1993 Blue Devils - 2000(whole show) SCV - Adagio for Strings 2000 Cadets - To Tame the Perilous Skies 1992 Boston Crusaders - "Time to say Goodbye" 2000 Edited March 8, 2007 by NR_Ohiobando

BozzlyB
As far as Scouts and Malaguena are concerned, 88 is about as good as it gets. Their versions since than have just been retreads IMO.
