madscout96
Dunno about a Bluecoats one, but my friend and I made these. Can you do one where the Cavaliers are wearing pink? :P How about one where the Cadets, instead of wearing maroon tops and white pants, are wearing white tops and mar... oh wait... never mind... Piper
If you think about it, actually blue devil is a strange term, the devil is usually pictured as red. Hmmmmmmm The term was derived from Concord California's Mount Diablo. The Blue was derived from the VFW.
Lance
I can imagine it probably wasn't a popular color for any corps starting up during the cold war.
84skyrydr
Yeah, that cold war thing sure screwed up a lot of great drum corps names and colors. Now there are only corps disapearing even though they can have 150 members now. You know that any new corps can have a color all to themselves, but then again there has to be a new corps. :sshh: ^0^ ^0^ ^0^
taters
What is all this talk about Ginger corps we must ban Ginger Corps
Penguin
I think part of the problem with Red Devils is the redundancy. Devils are commonly expected to be red. The others, I cannot make excuses for.... :P
silvertrombone
A few ideas: Red Dragons (If China doesn't have a D&BC yet, look for this one in the future!) Red Rabbits (Not exactly 'Alice in Wonderland') (VK-ish? Know who their mascot would be...) Redcoats (Certain historical attraction in New England?) Red Riding Hoods (Inner City all-girls corps??) Red Knights (Shakos, Helmets, or Berets?) Highland Reds (Red Kilts--had to get the kilts in there!) Red Hots (Shameless plug for corporate sponsor!) Obvious suggestion--Red Hot Chili Peppers! Imagine--ready-made music book--but probably a lawsuit in waiting. Ryan Roberts' Red Raiders (Just have to find a corps director named Ryan Roberts--anyone willing to change their name??) Red (New Boston, MA corps! Ha-ha!) Cardinal (OK, no 'red' in the name, but it works for Stanford!!) Red Rhinos (Onomatopoeia--means the same sound repeated) Red River Raiders (Red Raiders but it splits it up a little bit--maybe Texas Tech wouldn't sue quite as quick!) Red Berets (Black ops version of their Green cousins--slightly less well-known) Red Ryders (Successors to my defunct first corps, the SkyRyders!) Phantom Redgiment (betcha can't picture THAT uniform!) Feedback??
madscout96
Cardinal (OK, no 'red' in the name, but it works for Stanford!!) It also worked for the Scarborough Cardinals of Ontario... they folded inthe mid 90's I think.
