I wanna see "YZZ" by Rush on the field... but feet would be hard to do in that song.

I have always thought YYZ would be a good song. During the synthesizer part in the middle, the guard could do a rotating pentagram with red flags in the middle of the field.

Actually I believe Suncoasts 1984 drum solo was a mixture of YYZ by Rush and Changes by Yes.

I would love to hear someone do 2112 as a full show. They could write the show to tell the story including having the person discover a baritone or something instead of a guitar and slowly learn how to play it. That could be an interesting show.

Liquid Tension Experiment or Dream Theater?- Lots of material there.

AC/DC- You Shook Me All Nigh Long. B@lls to the wall.

Aerosmith- Dream On would be a ridiculously awesome ballad-ish tune.

Some Elton John, perhaps? Saturday Night's Alright

and... by Todd Rundgren

Bang the Drum All Day!

...it's just so hard to do a rock song without it comming off cheesy. Marching bands have been trying for years, and very few pull it off. The problem being that a lot of it is very repetetive, or not complex enough to support a competetive show.

In a total unserious moment:

Someone should do "Trogdor" by Strongbad. Now THAT'D own.

Kidding.

I think Aerosmiths "Sweet Emotion" would be pretty nice.

Its a recent album, but there are several tunes off of MCRs "The Black Parade" that I think would do well.

Namely, "The End", "Dead", "Welcome to the Black Parade", "House of Wolves" and "Cancer"

Agreed.

I also think some Dream Theater would do well on the field.
