NEW BLUECOATS UNIS!

Recommended Posts

I'm really not impressed with the uniform. I think the thing on theeir chest that looks like a gauntlet is very impractical. I've made some minor modifications to their uni that I think will improve the look.

it won't let me insert them in the post because they're "dynamic pictures"

I like Bloos new uni, but I also like your modifications. Very nice job. I'm not much into uniform design, but there has been some very talented efforts posted on these boards, this being one of the best.

I was at the show last night. I can tell you firsthand, this might be the best contra line (in terms of technique) that has ever been assembled on a field by any corps in any year. I know, I know, you have heard this before I am sure. I am an oldtimer and I will put my reputation on the line by making this claim. Holy smokes! As far as the Bluecoats go, this is definitely their best hornline and drumline to date. They definitely have a championship calibur music book and I do believe they will challenge for top horns and drums.

Oh, for the uniforms, they do work much better under lighting. While I agree that the chest piece might be a little busy, it isn't so noticeable on the hornline members (whose instruments mask it slightly).

Thank you very much for positive opinion. :-D I don't think as a whole they are bad, I jsut don't like the black flap.

Nice job on the variations. Funny how just a slight change can make an impact. Just for curiosity's sake, how does the new uniform look if everything black became white? Here's something: What if Bloo took the new badge logo and incorporated it onto the uniform like the V-star? The B-badge? Bloo Badge?

Actually I think the whole front of the uniform is supposed to represent the look of a police officers dress blue uniform which is usually a flat fronted double breasted jacket. this makes the flap make more sense in my eye because it depicts the open part of the double breast, and the lines would represent the button lines, although I think buttons instead of the white lines would have looked good too.
