Drums on Parade-Friday in Madison

Recommended Posts

My husband and I are going.

Does anyone else remember when Drums On Parade actually had a parade? B)

The only parades I ever did in Madison were at either Legion or VFW State.

I'll be there.

Where is everyone meeting before the show? :spit: :mmm: B)

I think Hooters tends to be the meeting spot.

I'll be selling souvie's at the Capital Sound tent. Stop by and say hi.

I will be there.

I took my three sons to one or two shows a year after they hit about 10 years old and they watched the PBS broadcasts with me. The older two enjoyed it but never showed any interest in joining. My youngest was convinced after his first live show that he was going to march AND he is this year! It will be my first time to see one of my kids march in a DCI show this Friday!!!! ^OO^

Enjoy, take LOTS of pictures, and share! I can't wait to hear all about it!

If I remember correctly the Scouts used to do 2 parades around the square every year.

One at Drums on Parade and one in the fall where they'd have a lot of aged out Scouts

march because so many "out of staters" were already gone for the year. I remmeber

all of us "old guys" digging through the equip. truck trying to find pants that would go

around our expanded tummies.

Also I believe they had Drums on Parade at LaFollete H.S. one year recently but other than that

it's always been at Mansfield Stadium (Madison Memorial H.S.).

I'll be at the show (helping in the corps parking lot) and afterwards at Schwoegglers Bowling Alley a couple blocks away :beer::beer:
