Noname Posted January 7, 2009 Posted January 7, 2009 I don't know about you, but I always get these ideas of little nuances that corps should do, just because it would be really cool. So, we'll see if this topic is successful, lol, so post some ideas you would have wanted to see happen for any show! I'll start with one for right now, cause it's all I can think of and I have to leave soon. Blue Devils 2008 - Bass drums should have marched taiko drums just like the rest of the battery, that would have been awesome! Not sure if it would be way heavier than the actual basses though. Quote
Bigboyblue1122 Posted January 7, 2009 Posted January 7, 2009 haha. umm....cadets=no narration i watched their show again and I believe they would have played higher (possibly) without any narration. Quote
One Step Posted January 7, 2009 Posted January 7, 2009 haha.umm....cadets=no narration i watched their show again and I believe they would have played higher (possibly) without any narration. Keyword, minute. Also, BD should have killed someone in the show. Their theme just didn't fit in the top 3 for this season! Quote
crazymello Posted January 7, 2009 Posted January 7, 2009 (edited) Yea, BD faked us out.... I mean, a drum major runs, grabs a shaft of sorts, but then DOESN'T impale someone with it... what's with that? thoroughly disappointed! Also, we needed at least one fancy Judo throw in Cavies 08. An experienced practitioner could do it on grass quite safely. Furthermore, I would have enjoyed a "pistol" set in Cavies 04, but that would be hard to pull off. However, we are talking Michael Gaines and the Cavaliers.... Edited January 7, 2009 by crazymello Quote
Elmo Blatch Posted January 7, 2009 Posted January 7, 2009 haha.umm....cadets=no narration i watched their show again and I believe they would have played higher (possibly) without any narration. Perfect example--Cadets 2007. It would have won...if narration left. Quote
memphomello08 Posted January 7, 2009 Posted January 7, 2009 Perfect example--Cadets 2007.It would have won...if narration left. Narration or not, it had the demand and execution to win. I think they should have won, but my opinion doesn't matter in the grand scheme. Quote
MikeD Posted January 7, 2009 Posted January 7, 2009 Perfect example--Cadets 2007.It would have won...if narration left. Disagree on that. The perfomance scores across the boarde hurt them...they tied BD for first in GE...4th in percussion from both judges and 4th in guard hurt a lot. 3rd in Visual Performance and Music Ensemble did not help either. MikeD Posted January 7, 2009 Posted January 7, 2009 I wish that the Cadets had figured out a way to keep the Sarah/little girl spot that was the original ending and somehow incorporate that moment into the high energy ending, instead of dropping it. The corps could have swirled all around the two of them hugging each other on the field. That way they would have gotten the 'awwwww' response of the two of them as well as the 'OMFG' of what the rest of the corps was doing. Quote
crazymello Posted January 7, 2009 Posted January 7, 2009 Cadets 2007 should have won period. I think removing the narration would have HURT it. it added so much GE for those impacts. I liked it as a whole. Quote
