  1. Reminds me of BD arrangements, so must be good...
  2. That's what the cool kids are into these days.
  3. Those are just genetic lottery winners! 🤣
  4. Bold prediction! Could be fun to witness!
  5. These guys are really prepared! The wooden dock pilings on the front sideline add a nice frame to the field and help hide their equipment. It's a nice show!
  6. I thought it was utterly fantastic, but the guard had some first show jitters, and the big green house prop covered some iffy drill behind it. I was on the 30, so I could look around, but a judge on the 50 couldn't see that one. Got to see one of my buds daughters aging out in the guard though, and she seemed cheery!
  7. Crown is great! I think the brass has taken a slight step back in excitement, but the quality is there. Something about their staging doesn't sit perfectly with me, but that's ok. I won't be mad if they win it all, but it's going to take until the end to sell me on this show. The guard is on fire. The percussion seems great and integrated well, but the combination of brass and percussion isn't blowing me away. I've seen the show live 3 times, and I have to fight to stay focused. I wanna throw babbies, but I'm not compelled to throw babies. We'll see how that goes. What should I be looking for in order to get more out of the show? With Boston, I concentrated on the guard, and that drew me in. With Bluecoats, I focused on that bacon-sizzle brassline. That drew me in. With Crown, I'm used to that brass. Now it's the guard that's doing the heavy lifting, but it doesn't give me that Cadets '93 level of excitement just yet. I need some education folks! Please point some stuff out for me! Thanks!
  8. I was there, Section C Row Y. I thought Crown was clean, but milk toast. Bloo brought the flavor, but was dirty. Their brass has a sultry sizzle to it that stands out. Boston was great and that guard was on 🔥 . I was soooo busy connecting with people after the show, I missed the scores and was surprised by the outcome, but They're all close, so no biggie Music City was fun. Troopers were great! I was surprised to see Cincy Tradition score so high. Saints provided a great service to their members... I'm just trying to not worry about scores and placement this year. There's a lot of superb playing happening, so 👌. Enjoy all!
  9. ....so Congrats to Crown! Boston guard was fire! Crown was also fire. Bloo guard was less spectacular, but it's 1 night. The corps is fantastic and the brass sound sizzles! They're all just so good, but Bloo kept my interest. Boston was a cool show. Crown is not quite keeping me interested this year. Music City was nice
  10. I must be a terrible judge, but I think Bluecoats are going to take it tonight and establish themselves as the current season leader. Boston will be a close second, and Crown third.
  11. I'm very happy with Cavaliers progress. Sorry for not posting, but I'm living this celebration! They really didn't have time to practice much with the Gala last night and the rain today but they made big strides in the show alteady.
  12. Here you go.... This is more along the lines of my point 👉 https://www.rd.com/list/conspiracy-theories-that-turned-out-to-be-true/
  13. So the WHO is worthless is your assumed point? That was just one example I read about from this week.
  14. One was a conspiracy theory about aspartame being unhealthy, yet approved by the FDA during the Reagen administration as being safe. Despite many conspiracy claims that it was unhealthy, People laughed at the conspiracy until now, where scientists and the WHO have concluded that aspartame is in fact dangerous. https://fortune.com/well/2023/06/29/aspartame-carcinogen-common-foods/ I'll just leave that one as an example, but there are a bunch more. This isn't the forum for that. Conspiracy happens, so 🤷. Try not to be totally dismissive or you could be on the short end of a laugh when everything is said and done. Cheers
  15. I will, not up top, but I'll be on the field to collect my white gear tonight after the show!
  16. ...and sometimes there are actually conspiracies, so let's not try to stigmatized the term in an effort to dismiss the topic completely.
  17. I was there too and can corroborate much of that. They sound lights out better during their run inside. They were stuck indoors for several days with the level of smoke in the area making it too unhealthy. First show jitters. They are also pretty exhausted. There are lots of transfers from other corps too. People new to the Cavaliers, but having marched in other corps in the top 13 from last year. There were lots of holes in Muncie too. The Gala was a great time! I was sitting at table 87 and got a black Cavalier hat to take home! Lucky me!
  18. I can't wait to hear about the show from your perspective!
