  1. You can see the kid trying to get up immediately behind the hole. (Click on the pic to zoom in).
  2. I just received a text from the show: Little Jeffrey did NOT catch his rifle tonight. Poor little guy....
  3. Anyone want to offer up an over/under on the time that the DCP servers crash tonight?
  4. Since they've evacuated the stands, I'm standing in the posh DQ room, trying to figure out who the people posting are...
  5. Put this in the other thread, too, but here's some more Minneapolis media coverage: KARE-11
  6. Some more Minneapolis media coverage: KARE-11
  7. They just used Paul the Octopus to chose the winners. No recaps necessary.
  8. Well, they're calling it the "DCI Minnesota Premier Event," so take that for what it's worth. Given DCI's treatment of the show, and the slate of participating corps, it sounds like a Regional to me.
  9. If anyone's looking to catch some rehearsals, Irondale, Mounds View, Edgewood and Highview are all in the same school district, and fairly close to one another. It might be a good option for people who want to see more than one group but have limited travel time. Roseville and Champlin are also not too far way from there, albeit in different directions. Totino is very close, too.
  10. I used this link to help me choose seats. I'm sitting Outdoor Club Level 3.
  11. Okay, I just can't wait to start talking about this Regional! 23 total corps, 18 of the 23 World Class groups, first drum corps show ever (I think) at TCF Stadium, the first big head-to-head of all the major players. DCI Minnesota TCF Bank Stadium, Minneapolis, MN Saturday, July 17, 2010 - 2:00 PM Listed in reverse order of performance Blue Devils - Concord, CA Carolina Crown - Ft. Mill, SC The Cadets - Allentown, PA The Cavaliers - Rosemont, IL Santa Clara Vanguard - Santa Clara, CA Bluecoats - Canton, OH Boston Crusaders - Boston, MA Blue Stars - La Crosse, WI Phantom Regiment - Rockford, IL Glassmen - Toledo, OH Blue Knights - Denver, CO Troopers - Casper, WY Minnesota Brass - St. Paul, MN Govenaires - St. Peter, MN Colts - Dubuque, IA Madison Scouts - Madison, WI Crossmen - San Antonio, TX Spirit - Atlanta, GA Pioneer - Milwaukee, WI Teal Sound - Jacksonville, FL Legends - Kalamazoo, MI Colt Cadets - Dubuque, IA Racine Scouts - Racine, WI So, are you going? What are you most excited about? What match-ups most intrigue you? How will Blue Devils match up against Bluecoats and Crown? What will Crown do with its four days without shows this week? How will the battle between Madison, Glassmen, Blue Stars, et al shake out? Lots of interesting storylines going on here. I'll be there - you should be there, too!
  12. I've seen no one live yet (until next weekend in Minneapolis), so these are based purely off of FN viewing - and I haven't seen everyone yet. So, disclaimers aside: 1. Bluecoats 2. Blue Knights 3. Cadets 4. Phantom 5. BAC 6. Pioneer HM: Crown, mostly because I love, love, LOVE Mahler 2. I also think it's great how many people are digging on the Blue Knights' show, when they've been a perennial "bore corps" for many folks for many years.
  13. I'm wondering if letting the end just sit there is part of their master plan to NOT peak early. My guess is they have plans for it. Bloo is one of my favorites this year, for sure. Very impressed with Boston, too.
  14. No worries. No offense taken - just setting the record straight! I once attended a drum major camp at Loras College BITD, and the campus was really very pretty. The whole Dubuque area, really, has some very pretty scenery. One of these years I really need to make the drive over there and take in this show.
  15. Yes, and Drake University is one heck of a fine institution!!! Chad BME, Drake University, 1998
  16. Bumpity bump. Anyone there with updates and/or tweets?
  17. You must have updated to iOS4? I did, too....for two days. And now I'm happily back at iOS3 (JB).
  18. Breaking my heart not to be at the show, as I'm no longer a resident of Minnesota (and hence now have a misnomer for a handle). Thanks for the updates!
  19. Cleaver? Like, Ward Cleaver? Okay, I'll stop now.
