  1. Good explanation Sam, once you march under a Gino hornline, you buy into his system.
  2. We dont know yet, I'll let you know when I find out.
  3. yeah I remember George telling us that they were massively behind, but they pushed the final two weeks and the show really cleaned up. Awesome show, one of my favorites. Michael Klesch's last book with them I think, but an awesome one.
  4. BoxingFred, I hope you were'nt mad at me for making me those eggs finals week, they hit the spot, lol. Thanks for everything !
  5. haha, indeed. " left, center, right, center, left, center, right, no center!!"
  6. From yea.org, Head line reads- April Gilligan returning to key role in Cadets Color Guard Tom Aungst, Colin McNutt, Gino Cipriani, Jay Bocook and Jeff Sacktig to return for 2008 Howard Weinstein to serve as the Assistant Director. Discuss.....
  7. Sounds really cool, with a dark touch. Im really diggin it!
  8. Man, what a cool thread. Here I go: Cadets 2001- in the opener when they juxtapose 3 against 2. LOVE IT. BK 99- Solid show all around and AMAZING ballad. Madison 99- Cross into the Star, GOOSEBUMP city!! Suncoast 85,86-Smoking Hornlines. More later....
  9. Agreed Jared, the whole concept of "down time" to me is one of the best parts of Drum Corps. Just a couple of minutes to absorb the atmosphere and analyze what your doing.
  10. Ive marched with both horn companies on baritone, and I believe Yamaha are superior to Kings. The baris are far more focused then the Kings. The Kings will provide a darker sound though, it all depends on what kind of timbre you prefer. I personally like the Xenos and mellos as well, although i thnk that the Xenos are a tad bit more expensive than the King ulitmate trumpet. Yamaha Corporation rocks!
  11. Yeah Michelle is def a awesome person, a real sweetheart.
  12. I love the sounds generated by those Yamahorns! Good stuff Troop!!
  13. Cadets have had some nice pickups with Larry Markiewicz,Steve Bentley and Chris Grifa from the Bluecoats. And Colin Mcnutt and Eric K as well.
  14. I loved SCV 05 from a musical standpoint, but Im afraid it was the drill design that held them back. Major rewrites midseason hurt them as well. Loved Murray and Key's writings though, really emotional and awesome.
  15. I loved Peter's design. He's gonna be the next big drill writer in DCI, but there was massive amounts of dirt in that drill. Awesome design job though.
  16. Nat the original tuba player is now with the Dallas Brass I believe. They came last year and gave a clinic at my college at which point Nat picked up a sousaphone and demonstrated multiphonics and other neat things. He is an amazing player.
